I've just downloaded and installed the latest version you have available for Joomla and I still have problems... I cannot upload any videos. I really need this to work. Thanks.

Have you checked the checklist.Files will get uploaded only when uploads folder has writable permission which resides at root/administrator/components/com_hdflvplayer/images/uploads.
Files couldn't upload,because
1.uploads folder don't have write permission
2.File size exceeds the size of post_max_size in ini file which you can check at the menu Help/System Info-- Php information..
3.or you are trying to upload a file which doesn't support flash formats.
